In past wars, taxes were raised, especially for millionaires and billionaires, to pay for them.
The perpetual “war on terror” already cost $5.6 trillion & coupled instead with trillions in tax cuts to the super rich, caused debt explosion to $20 trillion, and hundreds of billions in annual interest.
In “rare” bipartisanship, most Democrats just joined Republicans to pass a “Defense” (war) budget of $700 billion. Republicans also just passed another tax cut of $1.5 trillion, mostly for the super rich.
Can anyone tell me with a straight face this is sustainable, smart or good?
